Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

M33 builds iris, a geospatial workflow accelerator. This policy explains what information we collect through this website (m33.space), why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection deliberately minimal.

Who we are

This website is operated by M33 ("M33," "we," "us"). If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at admin@m33.space.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the site and respond to you:

  • Information you give us. An invite request requires only your email address. After submitting, you can optionally tell us what you’d like to explore. Contact forms also collect your name and message. We use these to handle your request and send relevant application-status or beta-onboarding updates. This does not sign you up for unrelated promotional emails.
  • Optional analytics and ad measurement. If you choose “Allow measurement,” we collect information about visits and use of the site, such as pages viewed, referring websites, browser and device details, and approximate location. Analytics cookies and similar identifiers can distinguish browsers and visits; this information is not necessarily anonymous. We also measure whether visits from our Google ads lead to saved beta invite requests. This can involve ad-click identifiers and measurement cookies. Cookie-based measurement stays off until you opt in. The dedicated ad landing pages use the separate choices described below.
  • Basic technical logs. Like most websites, our hosting and security infrastructure processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and keep the site secure.

Unfinished forms and personal follow-up

Beta invite requests are saved when you press submit. In the contact form, once you enter a valid email address, we save progress before you press submit. This can include your name, email, answers entered so far and the last step reached. If you leave without finishing, our team may email you personally to offer help completing your request. You can ask us not to follow up or to delete the unfinished request by replying or emailing admin@m33.space.

This handling of your enquiry is separate from optional website measurement and can occur when you choose “Essentials only.” It does not count as a completed application or an advertising conversion. We use our form-service providers to receive the details and notify the team; previously collected unfinished beta requests may remain in Notion under our retention policy.

What we do not do

  • We do not use this website’s measurement tags for personalized advertising or remarketing audiences.
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
  • We do not add you to a marketing mailing list without your explicit, opt-in consent.

How we use your information

  • To respond to invite requests and contact messages, help with unfinished requests, and send application-status or beta-onboarding updates.
  • To send occasional product updates — only if you opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To understand and improve how the site performs and which advertising campaigns lead to saved beta invite requests, only after you allow measurement.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Legal bases

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: your consent (optional analytics, ad measurement and update emails), our legitimate interests (responding to your enquiry, following up on an unfinished request, securing the site), and, where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering into a relationship (processing your invite request).

Service providers

We use the following providers. Their processing is subject to our arrangements with them and their applicable terms and privacy notices:

  • Cloudflare — website hosting, delivery, and the secure endpoint that receives invite and contact form submissions.
  • PostHog — website usage analytics, with separate cookieless and consent-based behavior on dedicated ad landing pages as described below.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics — usage measurement on retained pages such as careers, only after you opt in. See Ahrefs’ description of its analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads — website analytics and advertising measurement after you opt in. See the section below.
  • Notion — storage and management of beta applications.
  • Slack — internal notifications so our team can follow up on enquiries and applications.
  • Resend — delivery of request acknowledgements, application-status and beta-onboarding updates, and internal form notifications. We keep beta applicants in a service-update contact list; inclusion is not permission for unrelated marketing.
  • Clerk — account sign-in, if you are invited into iris (a separate, access-controlled application).

Analytics and advertising measurement

With your permission, we use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use this website, and Google Ads to measure which ads lead to saved beta invite requests. On our standard website pages, these tags load only after you choose “Allow measurement.” Declining does not affect your ability to contact us or apply for the beta.

GA4 uses first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_*, to distinguish browsers and sessions. It can collect page views, interactions, referring websites, browser and device information, and approximate location. Google processes IP addresses when collecting analytics, but states that GA4 does not log or store them.

Google Ads may use ad-click identifiers, page visits, browser and device information, and cookies such as _gcl_* to connect an ad interaction to a completed application. We keep advertising personalization off and do not enable enhanced conversions. We do not send names, email addresses, contact messages, application answers or iris questions to the Google measurement tags. The separate PostHog profile behavior for dedicated ad landing pages is described below. Google may process technical information, including IP addresses, when receiving tag requests.

Read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services. Google also offers a Google Analytics browser opt-out add-on.

Cookies and similar technologies

Beta landing pages. On /iris/beta, /satellite/beta, /ai-gis/beta and /land-change/beta, “Accept” permits analytics cookies, ad attribution and session replay with the email and question inputs masked. If you request an invite after accepting, we attach your email and first Google click identifier, when available, to a PostHog person profile for conversion measurement. We do not send your question to analytics. We keep the first campaign labels and click identifiers in a cookie on .m33.space for up to 90 days and include them in the Notion invite record. Other utm_* campaign labels are retained too.

On these landing pages, “Decline” clears the attribution cookie. PostHog then counts activity without storing analytics identifiers or creating an email-linked profile; we remove advertising identifiers and query strings from those events. Your invite and optional question still save to Notion. The landing-page choice uses a separate preference cookie for up to one year, and earlier website measurement permission is not reused. Use “Cookie choices” in the landing-page footer to change this decision. Session replay stops when you decline.

We store your measurement choice in a preference cookie and browser storage on this website. The cookie lasts up to one year; the browser-storage preference remains until you change or clear it. If you allow measurement, analytics and advertising measurement providers may use cookies and browser storage to measure visits and campaign results. On our standard website pages, choose “Essentials only” to use the page without these optional tags. We ask again when the purposes covered by your choice materially change; earlier analytics-only permission does not enable ad measurement.

You can change your choice through “Cookie preferences” in the footer. When you withdraw consent, we update the measurement settings, clear the Google measurement cookies we can access, and reload the page to unload its measurement tags. Withdrawal does not automatically delete information already collected or cookies controlled by other domains. You can clear cookies through your browser settings and contact us about deletion. Accepting the website terms or submitting a form does not count as consent to measurement.

If you allow measurement, we also keep campaign labels (source, medium and campaign name) in this tab’s session storage and include them with a saved beta invite request so we can understand which campaigns brought requests. Declining measurement clears this stored attribution. We use a short-lived, secure receipt cookie to show the invitation confirmation once, and a separate secure cookie lasting up to 24 hours so you can add an optional answer to your saved request. Neither cookie contains your name, email address or answers.

Data retention

We keep invite and contact information, including unfinished requests, for as long as needed to respond to you and operate the early-access program, and then delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed. Measurement providers retain visit and event information according to their applicable retention settings and terms; summary reports may be kept longer. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

International transfers

We and our providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA), among others, have these or similar rights. To exercise any of them, email admin@m33.space and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Children

This site is intended for professionals and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product and our practices evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
